Project context
Sakina brings several daily Islamic practices into one Albanian-language companion. The product challenge was to make prayer times, Quran reading, dhikr and tasbih feel like parts of a calm routine rather than unrelated utilities. Navigation and visual restraint keep attention on the user’s immediate intention.
Religious and AI-assisted content requires careful boundaries. The interface can organise access and support reflection, but generated material should not be presented as authoritative religious guidance without suitable review and sourcing. Sakina is marked live as a mobile web and installable PWA experience; private usage or personal spiritual activity is not surfaced in this case study.
Design decisions
Design for quiet repetition
The product favours clear hierarchy, low visual noise and short paths so frequently used practices do not require repeated setup.
Connect tools without crowding
Each function has a distinct purpose, while shared navigation and daily context make the experience feel coherent rather than like a folder of mini-apps.
Treat generated content carefully
AI assistance is framed as supportive content, with human and source judgement remaining important for sensitive or authoritative religious questions.
Project questions
Why was an installable PWA suitable for Sakina?
A PWA can provide quick home-screen access and a mobile-focused experience while keeping web distribution simple. The final choice still depends on offline features, notifications, device integration and whether store distribution becomes a product requirement.
Does the portfolio page collect or expose spiritual activity?
No. The case study describes product structure and interface decisions. It does not display individual reading, prayer or dhikr behaviour, and it does not claim private adoption figures.
How should prayer and religious content be maintained?
Production ownership should cover calculation settings, location behaviour, source review, correction paths and language quality. Sensitive content needs a documented editorial process instead of relying on an interface alone.
